Alisa Galishnikova
Ph.D. Student
I am currently a finishing PhD student at Princeton University. In Fall 2024, I will be starting a joint position as a Flatiron Research Fellow at the Flatiron Institute’s Center for Computational Astrophysics and as a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University's Theoretical High Energy Astrophysics group. My primary research interest is to explore the connections between microscopic plasma processes and the macroscopic behavior of the most extreme astrophysical systems, such as accreting black holes. To achieve this, I use a combination of novel computational approaches and develop a theoretical understanding of the problem.
