Emanuele Sobacchi
Postdoctoral Fellow
I did my PhD at the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy) in 2016. I hold postdoctoral fellowships at Ben Gurion University (Beer Sheva, Israel), Columbia University (New York, USA), and Hebrew University (Jerusalem, Israel). While working at these institutions I collaborated with prof. Beloborodov, Lyubarsky, Piran, Sironi. I am currently a Marie Curie fellow at the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (Brera Astronomical Observatory, Merate, Italy). I am interested in the application of plasma physics to the study of high-energy astrophysical objects. I have been recently working on relativistic turbulence in AGN jets, and on non-linear propagation effects in Fast Radio Bursts.
