I am a postdoc at Caltech, working primarily on neutron-star equation-of-state inference. I previously obtained my PhD from the University of Birmingham, where I worked on black-hole ringdown and Galactic binaries in LISA. I am interested in how we can constrain the equation of state and learn about the population properties of neutron stars by combining knowledge from nuclear theory and astronomical observations. In particular, I have worked on incorporating perturbative QCD into our equation-of-state inference, and I am currently working on a project to jointly infer the neutron-star mass distribution alongside the equation of state in a population analysis. And on the LISA side, I have worked on identifying neutron stars amongst the large number of Galactic binaries we will observe, and I am interested in developing this further in the context of the global fit.
